Osaka Nikkei Miami celebrates Sake Month on Friday, October 9, with an evening of bluefin tuna, sake and Japanese-Peruvian flavors at KERO Lounge.
From 5–6:30 p.m., guests can witness the live cutting ceremony of a whole 60-pound bluefin tuna, offering a close look at the craftsmanship and precision behind its preparation. The $30 experience includes a freshly prepared handroll and guided BŌKEN Sake tasting, with time to sip and socialize in Osaka’s sophisticated lounge.
For a more immersive evening, the $300 Bluefin & Sake Dinner includes the opening ceremony and tasting, followed by a seven-course Nikkei menu with BŌKEN Sake pairings. Limited to just 20 guests, the intimate dinner explores bluefin through preparations such as an Inka Sashimi Platter showcasing akami, chutoro and otoro; Toro Brasa nigiri with Peruvian chili rayu and roasted almonds; and Maguro Chahan with cured egg yolk and foie gras sauce. Chirimoya sake sorbet with vanilla crumble and yuzu pisco anglaise provides a final sweet course.
