Ombelle Fort Lauderdale Relocates Mature Mango Trees as Part of Thoughtful Site Preparation

Ombelle Fort Lauderdale the landmark luxury residential development rising in the heart of Flagler Village and developed by Brooklyn, New York-based Dependable Equities, has completed the relocation of mature mango trees from its development site as part of ongoing site preparation.

Rather than removing the trees during early construction activity, the development team engaged a certified professional arborist to carefully relocate them to Southwest Ranches, Florida, where they will continue to grow and produce. The process was executed with a focus on preservation, ensuring the long-term health of each tree.

The effort reflects a more intentional approach to development, where even early-stage site work is aligned with the project’s broader values.

“We approached site preparation with the same level of thoughtfulness that is guiding the entire vision for Ombelle,” said Isaac Schlesinger, principal at Dependable Equities. “Relocating these trees instead of removing them was a deliberate decision. It reflects our commitment to responsible development and to contributing positively to the community from the very beginning.”

The initiative is part of Ombelle Cares, the development’s platform focused on environmental responsibility, community engagement and long-term stewardship throughout the development process.

“Buyers today are looking beyond the residence itself. They’re drawn to developments that reflect purpose, long-term vision, and how a project contributes to the community,” said Kenny Drysdale, director of sales for Ombelle Fort Lauderdale. “What we did here is a small example of a bigger philosophy. Ombelle is resonating because it delivers on lifestyle, design and wellness, while also being intentional about how the project is built and brought to life.”

Designed by ODA, Ombelle will feature two 44-story towers in the heart of Flagler Village, bringing a new scale of residential development to one of Fort Lauderdale’s fastest-growing neighborhoods. The project will offer fully finished and furnished residences ranging from studios to four-bedroom homes and penthouses.

Ombelle introduces a truly unmatched lifestyle experience, featuring over 100,000 square feet of thoughtfully curated indoor and outdoor amenities, complemented by a 35,000 square foot Equinox Fitness Club. As the future home of Fort Lauderdale’s first Equinox, residents will enjoy access to elite training, restorative spa services, and a fully immersive approach to wellness. Together, this expansive offering sets a new standard for elevated living, delivering one of the most dynamic and comprehensive amenity experiences in the market.

Additional amenities include a 10th-floor amenity level curated by Arch Amenities with a chef’s kitchen, coworking suite, library, music room and creative arts studio, along with an exclusive spa experience to connect with inner Zen and personal flow, featuring two treatment rooms for holistic services and wellness treatment, steam room, sauna, experiential shower, and private terrace with outdoor sauna and two cold plunge pools, resort-style pools, indoor pickleball courts, golf simulator and more.
