Coast Guard Searching For Missing Diver Off SE Florida Coast

MIAMI, FL — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a diver after he was reported missing while diving near Deerfield Beach.

In a news release posted to social media, Coast Guard officials said air and surface crews were searching for Erick Gaunt, described by authorities as a white man in his 30s. Gaunt was wearing a black wetsuit with yellow and white tanks when he disappeared, authorities said.

Deerfield Beach is located in northern Broward County, just south of Boca Raton.
