MIAMI GARDENS, FL — During the University of Miami’s 2021 football season home-opener at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens Saturday, the university’s facilities manager saved the day when a stray cat fell from the upper deck.

For seven years, Craig Cromer and his wife have held Hurricanes’ season tickets. At every game, the couple hangs an American flag on a railing in front of their seats, the Miami Herald reported.

When they saw the feline dangling and about to fall, they acted quickly, removing the flag and transforming it into a makeshift landing pad. When the scared cat lost his grip, they were there to catch it.
