Israeli Woman Claims $1M FL Lottery Powerball Prize In South FL
An Israeli woman visiting South Florida won $1 million playing the Powerball Draw game, Florida Lottery said.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL — An Israeli woman visiting South Florida won $1 million in the Jan. 22 Powerball Draw game, Florida Lottery said in a news release.
Evelyne Hamama, 53, of Ramat Hasharon, Israel claimed her prize from Florida Lottery’s West Palm Beach district office.
Her winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers in the drawing, but did not match the Powerball number, Florida Lottery said.

Hamama purchased her winning Powerball ticket from a Shell gas station at 6135 Lyons Road in Coconut Creek. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The next Powerball drawing will be held Wednesday at 10:59 p.m. It has an estimated $45 million jackpot. Tickets must be purchased by 10 p.m. on Wednesday to be eligible for the drawing.
