McDonald's Hiring 1,000 in Miami Area
McDonald's locations across the Miami area are hiring 1,000 workers.

MIAMI, FL — Miami area residents in search of part- or full-time employment opportunities may want to check out their local McDonald’s. The fast-food chain has announced the kick off of a statewide hiring spree meant to add 5,000 people to its employee roster over the next month. About 1,000 of those jobs are in the Miami area, officials say.
McDonald’s has more than 180 restaurants in the South Florida area spanning three counties, Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe, according to the chain.
In addition to the Miami area jobs, there are also 84 Treasure Coast restaurants in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. This group of restaurants will be looking to hire another 400-plus team members.

The 5,000-person statewide spree comes after a major push across Florida to remodel and update older McDonald’s locations. McDonald’s officials say nearly 700 stores across the Sunshine State have been remodeled over the past two years to include such upgrades as side-by-side drive-thrus, table service and self-order kiosks. Some locations even offer delivery now. (Sign up for our free Daily Newsletters and Breaking News Alerts for the Miami Patch.)
