Miami Ranks 5th For Foodies: WalletHub

Miami ranked fifth in a new WalletHub survey of the Best Foodie Cities In America.

MIAMI, FL — Miami ranked fifth in a new survey of the Best Foodie Cities In America. The survey by personal finance website WalletHub compared more than 180 of the largest US cities across 24 categories. San Francisco topped the list followed by Portland, New York and Los Angeles.

"The data set ranges from affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita to craft breweries and wineries per capita," according to WalletHub.

Miami finished first in the most restaurants per person, first in affordability and accessibility of highly rated restaurants and second in gourmet specialty food stores per person.

Pearl City, Hawaii ranked last in the survey. The Miami ranking was even more impressive considering that the results did not include Miami Beach restaurants, according to WalletHub's Diana Popa.
