Here are the top five stories in Miami today:
1. An investigation is underway after a Hialeah Hospital worker who became a TikTok star was killed in a hit-and-run Tuesday that was caught on camera. Endoscopy technician, Leonardo Gil, was killed at the intersection of East 8th Avenue and 21st Street at around 9:30 p.m. (NBC Miami)
2. More than 100 educators and their families were escorted through the streets in a caravan celebration near South Florida's Miami Jackson Senior High School on Saturday. The event included Miami-Dade County Public School teachers and Rookies of the Year. (WSVN)
3. Jon Batiste, this year's most Grammy-nominated artist, is coming to Miami Beach for one night as he takes the stage on Saturday, March 12th as part of the monthlong "Miami Beach Live!" Batiste is the high-energy band leader on CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," and earned 11 Grammy nominations in seven fields. (Miami's Community News)
4. About 1,900 Key West Keys Energy Services customers were left without power intentionally Saturday afternoon to repair a burnt switch. The burnt switch that required repair is located near US1 and 1st Street on Big Coppitt, the utility company said. (CBS Miami)
5. Monsignor Chanel Jeanty of St. James Catholic Church in North Miami learned in late December "that he fathered a child from a relationship that ended over a year ago." According to a statement, the priest was given the news by an unidentified third party. (Miami New Times)
