In the announcement Wednesday, the company also touted a restructuring to its support roles and corporate organization, which will save about $150 million in expenses. The company says the move will allow for "greater speed and flexibility" but did not outline exactly how those roles will be affected.
When other stores that will remain open welcome customers back after the coronavirus pandemic, Nordstrom will have new policies in place to protect health such as sanitizing dressing rooms between customers, Plexiglas at the checkout and curbside, contactless pickup.
