Neighbors near Third Street described waking to gunshots and a heavy police presence that lingered for more than 12 hours. Identities have not been released yet as investigators continue gathering details.
   

• Former Florida City police officer accused of threatening to shoot at police station, city officials (local10.com) — A former Florida City police officer was arrested after authorities say she made repeated social media and phone threats to shoot at the Florida City police station and city officials, traveling through Miami International Airport before her arrest. Officers tracked her to a local restaurant, where she allegedly resisted before being taken into custody and later hospitalized for chest pains. She faces multiple unspecified felony charges once medically cleared.
