While Miami is known primarily for its vacation destinations and nightlife, the city is also home to many important charities dedicated to improving the quality of life of its residents. With education such a hot topic in the US, many of those organizations focus on improving education standards and accessibility. The following 5 charities are working to refine Miami’s schooling:

Best Foot Forward Foundation

Centered on providing educational opportunities to foster children, programs facilitated by the Best Foot Forward Foundation prioritize academic success. As an additional service, the non-profit offers general support for children within the foster care system focused around health and wellness.

Arts for Learning Miami

Arts for Learning (A4L) focuses on community and specialized interdisciplinary styles, combining progressive teaching methodologies with the arts. The organization’s programs are designed to advance education while enhancing confidence, life skills, literacy, and independence.

The Dwyer Family Foundation

Established with the belief that quality education should be made accessible to all, the Dwyer Family Foundation facilitates programming aimed at children of varying backgrounds and levels. The foundation supports programs that help students with learning disabilities and has awarded financial aid to those who required it.

Cuatrogatos Fundación

While its main target is the Spanish-speaking Miami population, Cuatrogatos Fundación is premised on bridging the gaps between different cultures and forging unity in the community at large. It was founded by two of the city’s authors, Sergio Andricaín and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez. The organization places an emphasis on improving Spanish literacy and establishing a sense of community.

Thankfully, Miami has some wonderful organizations that have chosen to invest in our children. Recognizing today’s children as tomorrow’s future, supporting education-based charities has never been so important.
