Pilot Rescued After Small Plane Crash In FL Keys: Watch
A small plane crashed Sunday in the Florida Keys, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said. The pilot was rescued from the water.

FLORIDA KEYS — A pilot was rescued Sunday morning after his small plane crashed in the Florida Keys, authorities said. (Watch a video of the rescue below.)
Deputies were told that the Aero Commander 500 went down in the Lower Keys just before 10:30 a.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.
The pilot, Adam Barney, 40, of Orlando, was uninjured and rescued three miles off Sawyer Key, the agency said. There were no passengers on the plane with him.

Deputy Trevor Pike brought Barney to paramedics who were waiting at Venture Out Resort on Cudjoe Key.
The U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also responded to the crash, which is under investigation by federal aviation authorities.
