Singer Marc Anthony Visits Marlins Ahead of 2017 Baseball Season Opening Day
The Latin superstar posted a photo of his visit on social media.
MIAMI, FL — Latin superstar Marc Anthony paid the Miami Marlins a visit on Tuesday ahead of the start of the 2017 season.
A spokeswoman for the team told Patch that she did not know exactly why Anthony stopped by the team's spring training facility in Jupiter on Tuesday morning but he later posted a photo of the visit on social media.

The visit came as the team was preparing to take on the Detroit Tigers in an afternoon game at Roger Dean Stadium, where the Marlins host their spring training games.

It was not clear if Anthony stayed for the game.
Anthony was pictured with team president David Samson in a photo taken on the field of what appeared to be a team practice before Tuesday's 1:05 p.m. game.
Opening day of the Marlins regular season is set for April 3 against the Washington Nationals in the nation's capital at 1:05 p.m.
The Marlins will host the Atlanta Braves in the first home game of the 2017 season at 7:10 p.m. on April 11 at Marlins Park.
