St. John Neumann Catholic School Evacuated

The school reported a bomb threat on Thursday

MIAMI — St. John Neumann Catholic School was evacuated on Thursday morning after school officials received a bomb threat, according to Miami-Dade police.

The school is located at 12115 SW 107th Ave. in the Kendall area.

"Responding officers with the assistance of the school staff safely evacuated students from the property," explained Detective Alvaro Zabaleta of the Miami-Dade Police Department. "Bomb dogs are responding to the scene to conduct a safety sweep and will advise when the scene is deemed safe."

Zabaleta added that all students had been accounted for and are safe.

St. John Neumann is a parish school established in 1981 that serves students in preschool (PreK-3) through eighth grade.
