Trump Plans To Launch Social Media Network: Report

PALM BEACH, FL — Banned from multiple social media outlets following the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riots, former President Donald Trump plans to launch his own social media platform, reports said.

Trump touched upon his plans in a conversation with Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe in the debut episode of her new podcast, “The Truth,” which was released Monday, Politico reported.

“I’m doing things having to do with putting our own platform out there that you’ll be hearing about soon,” he said.

His senior adviser Jason Miller had more details Sunday for the “MediaBuzz” on Fox News, estimating that Trump’s new platform will launch in “two or three months,” Fox News reported.

"And this is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media, it’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does,” he said.

Though he didn’t provide any additional details, Miller said that the former president has been hosting meetings about the venture at Mar-a-Lago, his private club and home base in Palm Beach.

Trump was banned by Facebook, Twitter and numerous other social media outlets after the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection for his using the platforms to support and incite the rioters.
