15-Year-Old Arrested For Bringing Luger Handgun To Hudson High

Deputies have arrested a 15-year-old Hudson High School student for bringing his mother's 9 mm Luger handgun to school.

HUDSON, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 15-year-old Hudson High School student for bringing his mother's 9 mm Luger handgun to school on Tuesday.

According to deputies, the teen from Spring Hill was in a fifth-period English class at the high school when he opened his backpack and partially removed the gun. Two students who witnessed this told school officials.

Deputies went to the student's home and checked his backpack. But instead of finding a firearm, deputies discovered a bag containing marijuana. During the interview, the teen's mother presented the handgun, which the teen had returned to the location where his mother kept it.
