19-Year-Old Accused Of Battery On A Woman Over Age 65

A 19-year-old New Port Richey resident has been arrested after deputies said he damaged a stove and then grabbed a phone away from a woman.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 19-year-old New Port Richey resident has been arrested after Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said he damaged a stove and then grabbed a phone away from a woman he lived with who was attempting to call 911.

According to the sheriff's office, Anthony Albert got into an argument with a woman over the age of 65 on Thursday. During the argument, deputies said Albert damaged a newly purchased stove. When the woman tried to call deputies, he grabbed the phone away and threw it away, according to the sheriff's office.

He was charged with battery on a person age 65 and older, tampering with a victim, criminal mischief and resisting an officer without violence.
