2 Pasco County Walgreens Offer Medical Lab Tests
Walgreens is opening LabCorp patient service centers at 10 stores in Florida, including two in Pasco County.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Walgreens is now offering LabCorp patient service centers at 10 stores in Florida, including two in Pasco County.
Walgreens, based in Deerfield, Ill., began adding the LabCorp centers last year at stores in Colorado and North Carolina, according to a press release. The LabCorp centers, located near the Walgreens pharmacy inside the store, offer a comfortable environment for patients who need medical laboratory tests ordered by physicians.
“We’ve had an outstanding experience with the six LabCorp at Walgreens locations that opened last year,” said David King, LabCorp’s chairman and CEO. “Patients and physicians have responded enthusiastically to having access to lab testing in a high-quality health-care setting. The success of those initial sites, and the overwhelmingly positive market response, caused us to make the decision to expand this initiative to Florida.”

Walgreens said lab testing at its retail locations fits the company’s strategy of collaborating with health-care providers to complement its pharmacy services with affordable lab work.
LabCorp centers are located at Walgreens at 1841 Little Road in Trinity and 5432 Little Road in New Port Richey. Other Florida Walgreens stores with LabCorp centers are in Winter Park, Fern Park, Gainesville, Delray Beach, Boca Raton and Alachua.
