2 People Took Inflatable Pool 'Out To Sea,' Rescued From Gulf: Hernando County Sheriff
Two people were rescued after taking an inflatable pool out into the Gulf, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office said.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL β Deputies made an unexpected rescue over the weekend when βtwo adventurous individuals decided to take an inflatable pool out to sea,β the Hernando County Sheriffβs Office wrote in a social media post.
It was βsmooth sailing at firstβ for the duo but βthe Gulf had other plans,β the sheriffβs office said.
Luckily, a deputy with the agencyβs Marine Unit was nearby and brought them back to shore.

βWe're glad everyone made it back safely β but let this serve as a reminder: inflatable pools belong in the backyard, not open water,β HCSO said.
