62-Year-Old Man Arrested For Stalking 22-Year-Old Woman

LAND O' LAKES, FL -- A 62-year-old Pasco County man has been arrested after deputies say he stalked a 22-year-old woman at her job and home.

Deputies were called to the victim's home early Monday morning, April 9, after the woman complained she was being harassed.

According to the victim, Joseph Seidle, of 20955 Lake Thomas Road, Land O' Lakes, visited her workplace on several occasions and asked her out twice on dates. When she told him “no,” she said Seidle told her that he believed “no” really meant “yes.”

Seidle then reportedly asked one of the victim’s co-workers for her name, which he used to look her up on the Internet. He found a link to her mother’s recent obituary and used that information to look up the victim’s address on the Pasco County Property Appraiser’s website.

He reportedly used the website address to send the victim a two-page letter discussing “their possible future together.”

Seidle admitted to stalking the woman and was arrested on stalking charges.
