70-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In New Port Richey

A 70-year-old New Port Richey motorcyclist was killed Sunday when he collided with another motorcyclist on Sunday.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 70-year-old New Port Richey motorcyclist was killed Sunday when he collided with another motorcyclist on Sunday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:46 p.m., the 70-year-old motorcyclist and a 60-year-old motorcyclist from Hudson were traveling south in the inside turn lane of U.S. 19, approaching the intersection of Meridian Boulevard, nearly parallel to each other in the same lane.

As the motorcycles began to turn left, the right side of the motorcycle ridden by the 70-year-old man hit the left side of the other motorcycle, then hit a curb and overturned.

He was taken to the hospital where he died.

The other motorcyclist was not injured.
