71-Year-Old Man Critical After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver

A 71-year-old Hudson man is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while walking along U.S. 41.

SPRING HILL, FL -- A 71-year-old Hudson man is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while walking along U.S. 41.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, James Elliott was walking south on the paved shoulder of U.S. 41 north of Twin Oaks Road at 10:50 p.m. Sunday when a southbound vehicle struck him and fled the scene.

The vehicle is a black SUV with front-end damage.
