78-Year-Old New Port Richey Woman Dies In Single-Car Crash

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- A 78-year-old woman has died after having a medical emergency and losing control of her car at Rancho Del Rio Drive and Via Segovia Monday, Jan. 7.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Mary A. Castricone of New Port Richey was driving a Nissan Juke on Rancho Del Rio south of Via Segovia at 10:29 a.m. when she had a medical event and lost control of the car. The car struck a utility pole.

Castricone died at Medical Center of Trinity.
