81-Year-Old Hudson Man Dies After Crashing Car Into Tree

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — An 81-year-old Hudson man has died after crashing his car into a tree.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Monday at 11:37 a.m. the Hudson resident was driving his car in the outside lane of U.S. 19, south of Briar Oaks Drive, and for unknown reasons crossed the center of the roadway, traveling south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 19 before entering the east shoulder and colliding with a tree.

He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
