PASCO COUNTY, FL — A boat was ejected from its trailer Monday evening after a crash on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. as a 43-year-old Summerfield man was driving an Acura MDX south on the entrance ramp from Blanton Road onto southbound I-75.
At the bottom of the ramp, the driver failed to negotiate a curve and entered the outside lane of I-75, FHP said.
The Acura collided with a boat trailer being towed by a 66-year-old Tarpon Springs man driving a Chevrolet Silverado.
The impact ejected the boat from the trailer, the agency said .The boat was dragged along the highway before coming to a final rest, the agency said.
Neither driver nor any of the passengers in the two vehicles were injured.
