The Pasco Sheriff's Office began investigating her on Oct. 11, after a mandatory clinical reporter told the agency that Brown admitted to holding a cat hostage for several days and then killing it while her family was away on vacation, Pasco News reported.

Brown admitted during an interview with detectives that she trapped the cat, brought it inside her home, and tried killing it using multiple methods, including drowning, crushing and stabbing it, reports said. She ultimately drowned the animal in a bathroom.

After the cat died, she hid its body from her family in a refrigerator. Brown also admitted to skinning and mutilating the cat's remains, eating some of its organs after blending them, and preserving some of its body parts for months, reports said.
