NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A bicyclist has died after being struck by a garbage truck Friday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just after 12:30 p.m., a garbage truck driven by a 41-year-old Port Richey resident was heading west on Ridge Road approaching Little Road when a bicyclist traveling south on the northbound sidewalk of Little Road rode into the path of the garbage truck. The bicyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where the Florida Highway Patrol reported Sunday he died of his injuries. His identity is unknown.

 moving observance program will take place this Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, at 9:30 a.m. Curlew Hills Memory Gardens. The special 
event is free and the public is invited to attend. Our Memorial
Day ceremony includes inspirational speakers, an honor guard with 
presentation of colors and live musical performances of everyone’s 
favorite patriotic music.
