A 46-year-old Jacksonville man on a bike was killed in a crash Sunday on U.S. 19 just north of State Road 54.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 46-year-old Jacksonville man on a bike was killed in a crash Sunday on U.S. 19 just north of State Road 54.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 11:37 p.m., the bicyclist was riding north on U.S. 19 in the center lane when a car driven by a 17-year-old Tarpon Springs girl overtook and collided with the bicycle.

The bicyclist died at the scene.
