4 Injured, Including 1 Child, In Pasco Crash Involving School Bus: FL Troopers
A semi-truck hit an SUV and a stopped school bus in Pasco County, leaving four people with injuries, including one child, FL troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Four people were injured, including one child, after a semi-truck crashed into an SUV and a Pasco County school bus on Tuesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The semi-truck was heading south in the outside lane of U.S. 301 as it approached Desrosier road just before 10 a.m.
At the same time, the SUV was traveling south in the inside lane and had stopped behind the school bus.

The bus was stopped in the outside lane at the intersection with Desrosier Road, with its red flashing lights and stop arms activated while children were being loaded at a bus stop, troopers said.
The semi-truck’s driver, a 42-year-old St. Petersburg man, failed to see that the school bus had stopped, FHP said. He swerved left in an attempt to avoid a collision but hit the right rear of the Hyundai and the left rear of the school bus.

The truck’s driver and the 43-year-old Wesley Chapel man driving the school bus weren’t injured in the crash.
The 29-year-old SUV driver, from Zephyrhills, suffered minor injuries but wasn’t transported to a hospital. His passenger, a 26-year-old Zephyrhills woman, also suffered minor injuries and was brought to a hospital, FHP said.
A 13-year-old boy and a 22-year-old Dade City woman who were passengers on the school bus suffered minor injuries and were brought to a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
