Call Proves False; No Weapons Found

A Pasco Sheriff's bomb squad found no weapons after being called to a house in New Port Richey.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A Pasco Sheriff's bomb squad found no weapons after being called to a home at 9727 Miramar St., New Port Richey, Tuesday night.

The bomb squad was called in after a report of World War II-era weapons being found. Out of caution, the area was evacuated.

The bomb squad, however, located no live ammunition or weapons and residents were allowed back in the neighborhood.
