Brooksville Man Dies In 3-Car Pileup On U.S. 19
A 32-year-old Brooksville man was killed Wednesday in a three-vehicle pileup on U.S. 19 at Jessup Lane.

HUDSON, FL —A 32-year-old Brooksville man was killed Wednesday in a three-vehicle pileup on U.S. 19 at Jessup Lane.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 3:30 p.m. Michael Kick was driving a Ford Taurus north on U.S. 19 near the intersection of Jessup Lane.
Paul Babraitis, 62, of Weeki Wachee was driving a Ford Mustang and Christopher Ahrens, 45, of Weeki Wachee was driving a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck south on U.S. 19.

As Kick passed Jessup Lane, he lost control of the Taurus and traveled northwest across the grass median and into the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 where it struck the Mustang.
The pickup truck then crashed into the right rear of the Taurus.

Kick was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point where he died. Babraitis and his passenger, Terese Babraitis, 63, were taken to the medical center with serious injuries.
Ahrens was taken to Medical Center of Trinity with minor injuries.
