Citizens Proposed Rate Increase Hearing has been Scheduled for Tampa Bay Area - August 20, 2013

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled a public hearing to consider Citizens Property Insurance Corporation’s proposed rate increase application for both commercial and residential properties.  In a June 28, 2013 letter to the insurance commissioner then state representative Mike Fasano had requested that a hearing be scheduled in the Tampa Bay area due to the enormous impact a rate increase would have on Citizens policyholders in our community.  The hearing will be Citizens policyholders’ opportunity to express their thoughts on the proposed increases.

The hearing has been scheduled for August 20 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  It will held in the Tampa Convention Center, 333 South Franklin Street, Ballroom D, Tampa 33602.  For details or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact this office.
