Clermont City Woman Dies Following 3-Vehicle Accident On U.S. 19
A 71-year-old Clermont City died and three Hudson residents sustained serious injuries following a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 19.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 71-year-old Clermont City died and three Hudson residents sustained serious injuries following a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 19 Tuesday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:45 p.m., a car driven by the 71-year-0ld Clermont City woman and an SUV driven by an 18-year-old Hudson man were heading north on U.S. 19 approaching Sea Ranch Drive.
Troopers said the woman in the car slowed abruptly and the SUV hit the rear of the car.

The impact propelled the car into the southbound lanes where it collided with a car driven by a 65-year-old Hudson man.
The 71-year-old woman, the 65-year-old man and his passengers, a 62-year-old woman from Hudson and a 77-year-old man from Hudson, were taken to the hospital where the 71-year-old woman died. The three Hudson residents remain at the hospital in serious condition.

The 18-year-old and his two passengers from Hudson, ages 18 and 19, sustained minor injuries.
