Couple Accused Of Stealing Purse From Uber Eats Driver In Crash

Deputies arrested a man and his niece accused of stopping to check on an Uber Eats driver who was in an accident and then robbing him.

PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man and his niece accused of stopping to check on an Uber Eats driver who was in an accident and then battering and robbing from him.

According to deputies, on Monday an Uber Eats driver involved in an accident pulled over on Ridge Road in Port Richey where Glenn Antonietti, 57, and his niece, Lisa Antonietti, 33, of Hudson stopped to check on him.

In the process, the driver said Lisa Antonietti picked up his purse containing about 60 Alprazolam (anxiety) pills from the passenger floor board of his car and walked away with it.

When the driver confronted Antonietti, he said she choked him from behind. Witnesses intervened, and Antonietti handed the purse back to the driver.

Deputies later caught up with the Antoniettis at McDonald's at 9441 State Road 52 in Hudson where they were arrested and charged with robbery by sudden snatching. Glenn Antonietti was also charged with possession of a crack pipe.
