Dad Uses Sword to Defend Family During Home Invasion

The Florida man faced six attackers as they broke into his home, threatening the four children inside.

When six people tried to break into a north Florida home Monday night, a father of four did the only thing he could think of. He picked up a katana, dialed 911 and came out swinging.

“They were coming into my house with bats and weapons,” Robert Brown told Action News Jacksonville. “The only thing I could think of was my kids and I have a katana.”

The crime happened late Monday night just after Brown had returned home, the Palm Beach Post reported. Brown heard loud noises outside and a rattling at the door. Someone threw rocks at the home, breaking glass.
