Young Brothers' Fight Over Food Turned Deadly, Deputies Say

Two children are dead and a third injured.

An argument between young brothers led to the shooting of all three and the death of two Wednesday evening, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The accused shooter is a 12-year-old boy.

The sheriff’s office received a call about the incident at 6:19 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived at the home in the 16000 block of Bachmann Avenue they found two of the brothers, ages 6 and 12, dead and a 16-year-old injured, an email to media from the agency stated.

The boys were home alone eating when an argument broke out over food, the email stated.

Preliminary information indicates the 12-year-old β€œretrieved a handgun, shot and killed his 6-year-old brother, shot his 16-year-old brother, and then turned the gun on himself, resulting in his death,” the email said.

Deputies have released the names of the boys. The two siblings who died are Brady Pimentel, 6, and Kevin Pimentel, 12. Trevor Pimentel, 16, was recovering from injuries at a local hospital Thursday.
