Fatal Pasco Crash: 3 Killed After SUV Collides With Golf Cart

The fatal Christmas Eve crash left three dead and one injured.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Three people were killed in a crash in Pasco County early Saturday morning an SUV struck a golf cart from behind, ejecting all four occupants, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A Jeep Cherokee driven by a 32-year-old Spring Hill man was going south on Monteverde Lane north of Saguaro Lane around 2 a.m. when it overtook and collided with the rear of a golf cart going in the same direction, the FHP said. The golf cart overturned and all four passengers were ejected.

Robert Frederikson, 48, Jennifer Boudreau, 36 and Leah Marie Kurasz, 28, all of Spring Hill, died at the scene. Scott Blair Wilson, 23, of New Port Richey, suffered critical injuries.

The driver of the Cherokee did not suffer any injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The FHP noted in its report that the roadway was dark and unmarked.
