Fire Destroys New Port Richey Home

Pasco County Fire Rescue were called to the 3800 block of Fort Street in New Port Richey for a fire at a fully involved fire at a home.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco County Fire Rescue were called to the 3800 block of Fort Street in New Port Richey during the early morning Thursday, Jan. 17, for a fire at a fully involved fire at a home.

Firefighters say the radiant heat and flames caused the house next door to catch fire as well.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor burns.

The home is a total loss and the second home has damage to the roof and a front room.

The Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance to the families.
