Fivay High Student Accused Of Assaulting School Employee
A Fivay High School student is accused of getting into a fight with another student and then assaulting a school employee who intervened.

HUDSON, FL — A Fivay High School student was arrested after being accused of getting into a fight with another student and then assaulting a school employee who tried to intervene.
Andrew George Denis, 18, of Stagecoach Lane, Bayonet Point, was charged with battery on a school employee, battery and disruption of a school function.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, during gym class in the school gymnasium, Denis got into a verbal argument with another student that turned physical. Witnesses said Denis pushed and punched the other student in the face.
When a school employee tried to break up the fight, deputies said Denis struck the employee in the right eye with his elbow. The sheriff's office said Denis cursed and screamed as deputies led him away.

During an interview, Denis admitted to pushing and punching the other student but said striking the employee with his elbow was an accident.
