NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Pasco County Fire Rescue said two vehicles stuck in flood water has prompted the fire rescue to shut down Ridge Road east of Little Road.

Pasco County Emergency Management and Public Works have been notified.

Drivers are asked to find an alternate route until crews and clear and reopen the road.

With frequent afternoon thunderstorms this summer, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office is reminding drivers to be cautious on the road and do not attempt to cross flooded areas.

Additionally, strong storms have the potential to leave behind debris in roadways, which may bring wires down with them, said the sheriff's office.
