Fourth Annual Front Porch Yule Gift

To celebrate the Winter Solstice

The children of our community are invited to bring their parents and join us, beginning at 2PM, for our 4th annual Front Porch Yule Gift as we celebrate the Longest Night of the Year – Winter Solstice – on Sunday, December 21, 2014.

Make sure you dress in play clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, because we will be singing songs, spending a short time in Circle, learning a little bit about the Wheel of the Year, and playing some new games. We will also need a few older children who can read well to star in the “Rupert’s Longest Night” skit from “Rupert’s Tales: The Wheel of the Year – Samhain, Yule, Imbolc and Ostara.”

Please bring a small snack or beverages to share, along with your own chairs. We also encourage you to bring a non-perishable food item if you can, to contribute to our monthly Homeless Outreach through Hands of the Goddess. And remember to bring dead household batteries to recycle!

Our time together probably won’t last more than an hour or so, and we hope you will join us.

Parents: If you know of another child who you think might enjoy our celebration, please feel free to invite them and their parents too. Please note that this is a Sabbat celebration especially for children, but if you would like to join us, you are welcome to, and rest assured that EVERYBODY participates.
