Gulf View Square Mall Evacuated For Gas Leak

Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to a call of a gas leak at Gulf View Square Mall, 9409 U.S. 19, Port Richey, Wednesday morning.

PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to a call of a gas leak at Gulf View Square Mall, 9409 U.S. 19, Port Richey, Wednesday morning.

Mall security called 911 at 10:15 a.m. to report the smell of gas inside the mall.

Fire rescue confirmed the presence of natural gas, and evacuated the mall.

While fire rescue crews investigated the source of the leak and contacted Tampa Fire Rescue for assistance venting the mall, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office took charge of evacuating employees and customers.

No injuries were reported.
