GULFSIDE HOSPICE THRIFT SHOPPE ANNOUNCES STAFF PROMOTIONS

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (March 13, 2014) – Paul Devine and Renee Wingeier have been promoted to Thrift Shoppe Manager and Thrift Shoppe Assistant Manager at the Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppe in New Port Richey.

            Devine, formerly the store’s Assistant Manager, received the promotion after being with Gulfside since April 2010 as both volunteer and staff at the store. Wingeier was a volunteer at the store for more than 4 years before moving to the paid, full-time position.

            “The Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppe in New Port Richey is so lucky to have the two of them,” said Linda Ward, President and CEO of Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care. “I know they will make a great team at the store.”

            Devine attended North Adams State College in Massachusetts for three years, then attended Med-Assist School of Hawaii to become a licensed medical assistant in Honolulu. He served in the Army for 4 years. Before moving to Florida in 2010, Devine worked for 25 years as a service coordinator providing support to people with special needs. Locally, Devine worked as a home health aide with Bayada Home Health Care in New Port Richey and as a cashier at Goodwill before coming to Gulfside.

            Wingeier received her Associate’s Degree from Fullerton Junior College in California. Before coming to Gulfside, she worked in the school system for 19 years supervising children on the playground, volunteering in classrooms, monitoring and preparing food in the lunchroom, bookkeeping and any other duty asked of her. Wingeier was recently recognized at Gulfside’s annual volunteer banquet for donating more than 1,800 volunteer hours, the most given by any Gulfside volunteer in the fiscal year 2012-2013.

            The Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppe in New Port Richey is located at 6117 State Road 54 in Elfers Square at the corner of State Road 54 and Madison Street. All five Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppes are open Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday. Donations and volunteers are always needed.
