Highway Patrol Make Arrest In Crash That Killed Bicyclist
The Florida Highway Patrol arrested a 43-year-old Largo resident Tuesday in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- The Florida Highway Patrol arrested a 43-year-old Largo resident Tuesday night in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist on U.S. 19 Saturday.
Troopers arrested Somphone Phosy after locating the blue 2004 Saturn Ion involved in the crash. The damaged car was found on Woodcock Drive in New Port Richey.
According to the FHP, John D. Mowry, 49, of New Port Richey was riding his bike across the northbound lanes of U.S. 19 north of Holiday Hills Boulevard at 8:38 p.m. Feb. 16 when he entered the path of Phosy's Saturn. Phosy fled the scene after the crash.
