HOLIDAY, FL — A 19-year-old Holiday man has been arrested after being accused of attempting to stab a woman with a knife and then resisting arrest when deputies tried to take him into custody.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, on Saturday night Mark Sanchez Jr. of Rally Lane armed himself with a large butcher knife and tried to slash the tires on a woman's GMC SUV and then tried to stab the owner of the SUV.

When deputies tried to place handcuffs on him, they said he attempted to escape from their grasp.

He was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
