Holiday Man Charged With DUI Manslaughter Following Fatal Crash
A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI property damage following a fatal crash Saturday.

HOLIDAY, FL — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI property damage following a fatal crash Saturday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:54 a.m., Michael Alan Aquila of Holiday was driving an SUV west on Holiday Lake Drive approaching Orangeview Lane when he lost control and collided with a concrete light pole, then a metal sign support. The SUV then overturned and struck a tree.
Aquila's passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Holiday, died at the scene.

Aquila was treated for minor injuries before being taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center.
