Holiday Man Killed in Crash

The accident happened early Friday morning on Grand Boulevard.

A 23-year-old Holiday man is dead following a fatal crash early Friday morning along Grand Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Freightliner DD 13 driven by Michael Thomas O’Hara, 51, of Tarpon Springs was heading eastbound in the parking lot of 3351 Grand Boulevard, south of Elhorn, approaching Grand when the 3:29 a.m. crash occurred.

At this time, a Honda Accord driven by Robert Anthony Loya was heading south on Grand Boulevard, approaching the driveway.

O’Hara attempted to make a left turn onto Grand and drove into the Honda’s path. The Honda collided with the left rear of the trailer attached to O’Hara’s truck.

Loya died at the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
