Hudson Man Accused Of Hitting Mom With Gun, Shooting Television

A 27-year-old Hudson man is accused of hitting his mother in the head with a gun and threatening to kill her.

HUDSON, FL -- A 27-year-old Hudson man is facing multiple assault charges after being accused of hitting his mother in the head with a gun and threatening to shoot her.

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies were called to Oakwood Drive in Hudson on Wednesday, May 15, around 10:30 p.m., following a complaint that Kevin Jewell, 27, threatened his mother and a man who was visiting the home he shares with his mother with a gun, struck them in the head with the gun, shot the television and fired several rounds into the floor in their direction.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found Jewell still holding the gun.

Jewell's mother and the male victim told deputies that he threatened to kill them and then kill himself.

When questioned, deputies said Jewell admitted to hitting the man in the back of the head with the handgun but said he couldn't remember hitting his mother although deputies said they could see a large bump on the left side of her head. The man had a cut on the back of his head.

Jewell also admitted to shooting bullets into the floor in their direction.

Jewell lives with his mother in her Hudson home.

He was arrested and taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center where he was charged with domestic aggravated assault, domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
