Hudson Man Killed While Riding Bicycle On U.S. 19

HUDSON, FL — A 54-year-old Hudson man has died after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle on U.S. 19 south of Beach Boulevard Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bicyclist and an 18-year-old Hudson woman in a car were traveling south on U.S. 19 at 9:42 p.m. when the car collided with the bicycle, which had no headlights or reflectors.

The Hudson man was ejected from the bicycle and died at the scene.
