Hudson Toddler Found In Pond Near Home

The 2-year-old boy was reported missing Wednesday evening.

HUDSON, FL β€” The search for a missing 2-year-old boy in Hudson took a tragic turn Wednesday evening when Pasco County Sheriff’s Deputies found his body in a pond about 150 feet from his Chenwood Avenue home.

According to the sheriff’s office, the search for Clayton Foskey began around 7:30 p.m. after a call came in reporting the child had wandered from his home.

β€œImmediate action was taken to locate the child with 60 deputies on the ground searching, marine unit, agriculture unit, multiple K9's, helicopters including assistance from Hernando Sheriff’s Office, New Port Richey Police Department, and Pasco Fire Rescue and the Missing Abducted Child Team,” the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media. β€œClayton was found at 10:47 p.m. by a K9 team after spotting a small footprint by the water.”

The boy was about 15 feet out in water that was 4 feet deep.

No further information is being released at his time.
